I sometimes use the GM starter (expensive) or an aftermarket from Summit at 1/2 the price. Never have had any starter issues on any of my LS swaps.

 

Thanks John, I just wanted to make sure I purchased the correct starter. After returning 2 clutches/Pressure plates, 2 TOB, I want to be 200% now in my parts selection. The other LS starter I seem to come across is the #299.

 

I use the AC Delco starter for a 2014 Camaro. Around $100 if I remember right. Use the bolts and heat shield from the same car.
