I'm replacing a power steering pump and using my old reservoir. I knocked the little 1" round magnet out of place during the process and I don't where in the reservoir it's supposed to go.
Please advise,..thanks! |

The little round magnet is usually on the back of the pump on the little flat cast area, not on the can.

I thought that could be the case. There's a 'pad' on the back of the pump that's the same size as the magnet.
Thanks! |

![]() Looking at the right side picture, you have the back of the pump facing you. The discharge fitting is at 6 o'clock. At about the 4 o'clock position (inside the pump) just above the stud, is the MAGNET "Z". It is against the pump housing not the reservoir. Jim |
