The Saginaw is too heavy for a trotline weight so I would leave it in the alley for some salvager to pick up. Go Super T 10 or Muncie!!!!

Using a Muncie 429 tail extension housing has provisions for the drivers side speedo cable connection just like your Saginaw. If you use a Muncie 584 tail with the passenger side speedo connection, you'll need to install a longer speedo cable.

A Muncie can be built to replace the same footprint as your Saginaw to utilize your existing parts, a ST-10, T56 or a TKO cannot.

I have a brand new Munice with the speedo hole on the drivers side if you need one. I had it built to go behind my big block, but the lure of the 5 sp has won me over. Money be damned! I'm in Colorado so not too terribly far. Like I said its new so I'm not giving it away, but compared to others I've seen its reasonable.

I'm going from a 70 Camaro M22 to a TKO 600. My winter project.

The T-10 uses a different input shaft (26 or 28, i can't remember) and 400 yolk.
I'm pretty sure the Munice uses the same input shaft as the T-10, but can't remember off the top of my head.

If that is the case you will need, a new clutch because the saginaw is a 10 spline, def. going to want a new trans mount, and tail shaft, the drive shaft should be okay since most 4spd's are all the same length.

I agree about switching to a TKO or T-56

No! My screen name has nothing to do with the trany in my car. It's the knowledge and reputation I have with these tranys. I chose my sceen name after several friends referred it.

If you change your drive line yoke, you'll have to re balance the drive line.
