Default Toasted Saginaw...now what?

I'm swapping out my tired 350 for a built up 327.
While I have everything out of the car I carried my Saginaw 4-speed up to the local tranny shop for a freshening up. He called today and told me it was pretty much shot. I knew the syncros were out in 2nd but it sounds like it had worse problems than that. I guess this would be an opportunity to jump up to a Muncie. Any thoughts, ideas or input is appreciated. Thanks.

Ditto on teh super T-10 - much stronger than the Muncie - I know I replaced many muncies before stepping up to the borg warner - no problems since.

First and foremost what are your goals? How much power you going to be putting to the ground?

Not crazy power, got a 327 bored .060 over.
What would it entail to convert from Saginaw to T10 or Muncie?
Is either more difficult than the other?

Keep in mind the location of the speedo hole on the tranny. Sag is on the driver's side? Muncie is on the passenger side for Camaros, but other makes had some on the driver's side.

tko baby. The overdrive would be a great upgrade. They aren't cheap but neither is a decent muncie.

My 69 upgrade to T10 from Muncie was a bolt in - no modifications required.

My Saginaw does have the speedo cable on the driver's side. How big of a deal is it to transition to the passenger side?
